Synopsis
Best friends Griff and Doug have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie "Anaconda." When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they assemble a crew and head deep into the jungles of the Amazon to start filming. However, life soon imitates art when a gigantic anaconda with a thirst for blood starts hunting them down.
What we did
Stage23 delivered the bulk of the visual effects for Sony’s Anaconda — morphing Queensland locations and soundstage plates into a living Amazon, while ILM handled the snake.
The work spanned rainforest set extensions, day-for-night transformations, environment augmentation, cleanup, and large-scale river travel simulations with CG water and CG boats — including one sequence of more than 300 shots.
