The fantastical world of FING! storms Australian and US screens on Jan 14!

The whimsical quirk of FING! will be unfurled across Australian cinemas on January 14 in tandem with a theatrical release across the US via Angel Studios.

Stage23 provided lead VFX services on the official Australian UK co-production of FING!, the feature film adaptation of David Walliams’ bestselling children’s book.

The internationally collaborative project allowed Stage23 to work with its VFX teams across offices in London and Sydney taking full advantage of the co-production opportunities and incentives available.

Directed by Australia’s Jeffrey Walker, the co-production was driven by Jo Sargent from London-based King Bert Productions, and Todd Fellman from Queensland’s Story Bridge Films with filming taking place in Queensland. The quirky live action family drama starring Taika Waititi and Mia Wasikowska was co-commissioned by Stan in Australia and Sky in the UK with Transmission Films handling Australian theatrical release and Angel Studios securing the US.

The film will be screened on Stan and Sky in early 2027.

FING! made its international debut to a standing ovation at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
